Filipe is an experienced clinician offering over 16 years of specialized manual therapy treatment. He incorporates a variety of therapies including; osteopathy, athletic therapy, massage therapy and acupuncture in order to promote quick recovery from automotive, work and sport related injuries.

Filipe studied Osteopathic Manual Therapy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, and acquired an Applied Health Sciences Diploma in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College, a Diploma in Massage Therapy from ICT. Kikkawa College, and a Diploma of Acupuncture from the University of McMaster Health Sciences. Most recently, Filipe graduated from the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy and completed his thesis dissertation entitled 'An Osteopathic Methodology to TMJ Dysfunctions' and has since taken a keen interest specializing in the treatment of jaw and facial pain. Filipe qualified as a registered Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and offers gentle and effective treatment for migraines, concussion syndromes, sinus congestion, tinnitus, vertigo, digestive acid reflux, musculoskeletal neck/back pain and more...

Filipe’s work experiences include treating patients involved in motor vehicle accidents, WSIB work injuries, recreational and professional athletes. He's worked extensively with the Ontario Soccer and Canadian Soccer Association's, Toronto Lynx, and Toronto Thunderhawks Professional Soccer clubs. He currently functions as Clinic Director / Osteopath Manual Practitioner providing therapy and sports conditioning to triathletes, cyclists, swimmers and marathoners.

Filipe maintains a healthy work / life balance by training as a recreational triathlete and parenting his beautiful children alongside his lovely wife.

Antonela Figueroa,

Athletic Therapy

 

Antonela graduated Sheridan College with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy and is a registered member of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association.

Antonela is a passionate and personable team player, offering her expertise in Athletic Therapy for all work and sports related injuries. Her treatments are complemented with progressive exercise rehab programs designed specifically for safe and speedy recovery. The individualized program will focus on strength and conditioning, overall fitness and weight loss, while educating the importance of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Antonela also assists in the management of our Cardiac Rehab Program, imPACT-Baseline Concussion Testing and general clinic administration.

dana MacPherson,

Certified Athletic Therapist
Registered Massage Therapist

Dana graduated Sheridan College with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science – Athletic Therapy and became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2008 and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2010. Dana has worked in a variety of fitness and rehabilitation settings which include fitness facilities, orthopedic clinics rehabilitating acute injuries, strength and conditioning for wide range of athletes including rugby, hockey and basketball as well as on-field emergency injury care for sport and charitable events. Dana has also recently graduated and become a Registered Massage Therapist. She has keen understanding of the biomechanical function of the body and aims to integrate her vast knowledge of exercise with her manual therapy skills.

Ivan Lukaroski, 

RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Ivan is a Registered Massage Therapist with College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and acquired his Diploma in Massage Therapy upon graduating Everest College in 2011.

Ivan's passion for Massage Therapy is apparent in the manner in which he helps achieve optimal wellness for his clients. He offers a unique compliment of deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and myofascial release techniques while ensuring maximum relaxation during each treatment.

In caring for various physical dysfunctions Ivan ensures that clients receive remedial exercise and postural education after every appointment. Ivan is a constant study of Massage Therapy and currently teaches practical Massage treatment skills at Everest College and is an active board member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario.

Kayla Grant, 

Certified Personal Trainer

Kayla is a Can-Fit-Pro Certified Training Specialist and currently a student of Kinesiology at Brock University.

Kayla is a motivated, enthusiastic individual willing to help any individual achieve their goals. Upon an initial assessment, Kayla will tailor an exercise program specifically to facilitate the achievement of your weight loss and fitness goals. And it is without saying that Kayla desires that all clients understand functional body movement as they perform exercise safely.

Kayla is an avid athlete with history in soccer, rugby and volleyball and is currently an assistant therapist with Brock U Soccer team.

Tianilla Weigert, 

RN

Registered Nurse

Tianilla is a cardiac nurse with more than 12 years experience. Upon graduating from Humber College's Nursing program, Tianilla became a registered member of the College of Nurses of Ontario. She acquired a specialty in cardiac care managing patients presenting with cardiac disease. Her passion is to deliver quality medical care and to communicate healthy lifestyle choices and educate each patient on the importance of healthy work life balance and dietary choices.

Sports Therapy C.A.i.R.E. is developing a specialized cardiac rehab program, offering assessment and a comprehensive supervised exercise rehab program.

 

Larry Meeks, 

RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Larry is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and he acquired his Diploma in Massage Therapy upon graduating Everest College in 2012.

Larry brings maturity, professionalism and life experience to our clinic in his recent career change from the corporate world.

Larry is diligent in the explanation and education of his client care; while offering a relaxing compliment of Swedish Massage Therapy and myofascial release techniques. While patient comfort is the priority, Larry always ensures that every client receives a comprehensive home care program inclusive of postural education and muscle stretching while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
